The night of our life

So my little man has started having Night Terrors, and I have to say that it is probably one of the most stressful things that we have experienced with him. Last night Oliver woke up screaming bloody murder after being asleep for only an hour. I assumed that when we picked him up from the crib that he would stop crying like he usually does, but this time was different. As he was screaming the worst scream of my life, he wouldn't open his eyes. He was crying like he was awake, but I think he was actually still asleep. The crying continued for about 3 minutes until he finally opened his eyes for a short period of time, looked around the room like he was completely freaked out, than fell back to sleep again. I have never witnessed anything like that in my life, so I had no idea what was wrong with him. His tiny body went limp, and he would not bear any weight on his legs as well. I freaked out, began to cry and demanded that we take him to the ER. This continued for about 10 minutes until he snapped out of whatever he was in. Once he was awake he was as happy as can be, smiling and laughing at us. I gave him a bottle, he passed out and slept the rest of the night through. I on the other did not sleep so great after that.

So i woke up this morning and the research began for what had happened the night before (thank God for Google!) The only thing that I found online that could relate to the incident was Night Terrors. Now that I think about it, its makes me even more sad to think about what he was going through. I hope that he never has to experience that ever again, but this could also be the start of even more to come.
